ON-SITE EXISTING WELL DESCRIPTION <br />There is one existing domestic water supply well on the property. One record is on file at <br />EHD for pump replacement in August 2005 (SR0043684). There are no other records on <br />file at EHD or the Department of Water Resources with well construction or installation <br />details. The onsite well provides potable water to the existing residence and will provide <br />water to the proposed home. A copy of the pump replacement permit is included in <br />Appendix B. <br />4.4. CONSTITUENTS BEING TESTED FOR IN THE WATER SAMPLE <br />Nitrate (NO3) constituents and 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane (DBCP) were tested in the <br />existing groundwater supply well at the subject property. <br />4.5. GROUNDWATER SAMPLE COLLECTION <br />On 14 September 2022, a sample of the drinking water provided by the current <br />groundwater supply well at 16402 Escalon Bellota Road, Escalon, California was <br />collected in an unpreserved 0.5 -liter plastic container and two volatile organic analysis <br />(VOAs) vials. The groundwater sample containers were properly labeled, placed in a <br />chilled container, and transported under chain -of -custody protocols to McCampbell <br />Analytical, Inc. (MAI), a California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program <br />(ELAP)-certified laboratory. The sample was analyzed for Nitrate as Nitrogen (N), Nitrate <br />as NO3-, and DBCP. <br />4.6. GROUNDWATER ANALYTICAL REPORT <br />Nitrate as N was detected at 13 milligrams per liter (mg/1) and Nitrate as NO3- was <br />detected at 56 mg/I in the water sample; DBCP was not detected above the laboratory <br />reporting limit. The MAI laboratory report (Work Order: 2209857) with quality <br />assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports and chain -of -custody form are provided in <br />Appendix C. <br />5.0. SOIL PROFILE <br />An OWTS Permit was issued for the property by the EHD on 31 August 2022 to perform <br />percolation tests (Appendix D). On 14 September 2022, a 4 -inch diameter hand auger <br />was utilized to advance a percolation test hole to 40 inches bsg in the proposed septic <br />system disposal field area; and on 26 September 2022, a 4 -inch diameter hand auger <br />was utilized to advance a percolation test hole to 118 inches bsg in the proposed septic <br />system disposal field area (Figure 2). <br />
