Port of Stockton - 2 - 16 February 2018
UST Data Gap Work Plan
Stockton, San Joaquin County
Appendix 4a or 4b of the LTCP; or 3) conduct a site-specific risk assessment for the vapor
intrusion pathway; or 4) control exposures through the use of mitigation measures.
4. Investigation of UST 916B was not included in the Work Plan ostensibly because the Water
Board letter dated 26 September 2017 indicated the case was eligible for no further action
status under the LTCP. Upon further review, it appears UST 916B does not meet the LTCP
media-specific criteria for petroleum vapor intrusion to indoor air. The TPH as diesel
concentration in soil at 5 feet bgs at boring C-6 was 2,000 mg/kg in 2008, which exceeds the
less than 100 mg/kg criteria for soil in the 0 to 5 interval specified in the LTCP. Please collect
the data needed to demonstrate compliance with the LTCP media-specific criteria for
petroleum vapor intrusion to indoor air.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact me at (916) 464-4651 (email
walter.floyd@waterboards.ca.gov), or contact Marie McCrink at (916) 464-4670 (email
marie.mccrink@waterboards.ca.gov).
WALTER FLOYD, PG, CHG
Engineering Geologist
cc: Mr. Steven W.
