<br /> <br />Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br />03 September 2021 <br />Mr. Derral Van Winkle <br />Department of Navy <br />Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest <br />1220 Pacific Highway <br />San Diego, CA 92132 <br />via email: derral.vanwinkle@navy.mil <br /> <br />ACKNOWLEDGEMENT LETTER: DRAFT FINAL WORK PLAN FOR <br />THE PER- AND POLYFLUOROALKYL SUBSTANCES (PFAS) SITE <br />INSPECTION, NAVAL COMPUTER AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS <br />STATION (NCTS), STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br />California Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Central Valley Water <br />Board) staff has reviewed the Draft Final Work Plan for the Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl <br />Substances (PFAS) Site Inspection (Work Plan), dated August 2021, at the Naval <br />Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) located in Stockton, California. The <br />goal of the subject Work Plan is to determine the presence of PFAS in sediment, <br />groundwater, and soil in six areas of concern and to determine if further investigation or <br />action is necessary. <br /> <br />This letter is to acknowledge the Central Valley Water Board’s review of the Work Plan <br />and the response to comments therein. The Central Valley Water Board requests the <br />Navy make the necessary corrections, and acknowledge General Comments, detailed <br />herein.
