Samples will be analyzed by EPA Method 5035/8260B in a California certified laboratory. Location, date, time, and lithologic observation depth intervals.
2. Lithologic properties including but not limited to,soil texture, color, odor, presence of organic
material such as roots or other organic matter, gradation, mottling, hardness, plasticity, and
presence/absence and description of larger rock based material.
3. Drilling notes related to refusal or blows to advance a specified vertical distance.
4.5 Conditional Sub-slab soil gas, Indoor, and Outdoor Air Sampling
The soil gas and groundwater data will be reviewed and discussed with RWQCB staff to determine if
additional sampling is required. Additional sampling may include a second round of passive soil vapor
testing or sampling of indoor air,sub-slab soil gas, and outdoor air at the 311 West Main Street property,
as discussed in this section. Figure 4 shows the conditional sub-slab, indoor air, and outdoor air sample
approximate locations, if necessary.
APTIM will conduct a building survey to assess building construction for potential vapor entry points,
footing locations, surface plumbing, drains, etc. Based on the walkthrough the proposed sample locations
will be reviewed by the RWQCB for approval or modification,as necessary. The walkthrough will also look
for products or materials stored or in use inside the building that may off-gas VOCs.APTIM will work with
the occupants to remove or resolve possible background VOC sources.
FINAL RIPON PCE INVESTIGATION WORK PLAN.DOCX 4-7 PROJECT NO.631021512
