• Rinse with deionized water. This step will rinse detergent solution and potable water residues.
Rinsing will be done by applying the deionized water from a clean squeeze bottle (or
equivalent) while holding equipment over a bucket. Wastewater will be consolidated in the
55-gallon drums, as needed.
4.8 Field Observations Documentation
Field observations will be recorded on field activity daily log forms and applicable task-specific log sheets.
Task-specific log sheets for information such as boring observations, details, and drilling oversight will be
guided by AMS-830-19-GL-30004, "Using Field Logbooks in Support of Environmental Investigation and
Remediation" (Appendix C). Photographs taken in the field will be compiled, as appropriate, and
submitted with the Field Investigation Summary Report.Appendix D contains field forms.
4.9 Field Quality Control Sampling
The following table describes the field quality control samples that will be collected in support of sampling
activities for this project.
Data Quality Measurement
QC Sample Type Frequency Indicator Performance Criteria
Matrix Spikes(Soil& 5 percent, one per 20 field samples Precision and Laboratory
Statistically Derived control
Groundwater) collected Accuracy limits
Field Duplicate 35%—Relative percent
(Groundwater,sub-slab, One per 10 field samples collected Precision difference(RPD)
indoor air,soil gas)
None-if disposable sampling Bias Contamination Analytes not detected above
Rinse Blanks equipment is used, 1 per day if using representativeness reporting limits
non-disposable sampling equipment
Analytes not detected above
nal
Trip Blanks(VOC) Every cooler shipped to the laboratory Bias Contamination AA l tin limits
Temperature Blanks Every cooler shipped to the laboratory Representativeness 1 4±2 degrees Celsius(°C)
Notes:
QC quality control
RL reporting limit
VOC volatile organic compound
4.10 Sample Packaging and Shipment
All samples will remain in the custody of the person collecting them until they are packaged and sealed
for shipment to the laboratory. APTIM's procedure for sample custody and documentation, "Chain of
Custody" (AMS-710-04-PR-01106),will be followed regarding sample labelling, and integrity. Samples will
be packaged under chain of custody for shipment to the laboratory per "Shipping and Packaging of Non
Hazardous Samples" (AMS-830-19-WI-30001; see Appendix C). The minor quantities of preservatives in
samples do not require declaration and packaging as"Dangerous Goods"for shipping purposes.A"Cooler
Shipment Checklist" (AMS-830-19-FM-30002;see Appendix C)will be completed and maintained with the
FINAL RIPON PCE INVESTIGATION WORK PLAN.DOCX 4-12 PROJECT NO.631021512
