5.2.2 Hazard Communication Program <br /> 5.2.2.1 Container Labeling <br /> APTIM personnel will ensure that all drums and containers are labeled according to contents. These <br /> drums and containers will include those from manufacturers and those produced on site by operations. <br /> All incoming and outgoing labels shall be checked for identity, hazard warning, and name and address of <br /> responsible party. <br /> 5.2.2.2 Employee Information and Training <br /> An ongoing corporate training program will train employees on chemical hazards. In addition, chemical <br /> hazards will be communicated to employees through daily safety meetings and by an initial site <br /> orientation program. At a minimum, APTIM and related subcontractor employees will be instructed on <br /> the following: <br /> • Chemicals and their hazards in the work area. <br /> • How to prevent exposure to these hazardous chemicals. <br /> • What the company has done to prevent workers' exposure to these chemicals. <br /> • Procedures to follow if they are exposed to these chemicals. <br /> • How to read and interpret labels and SDS for hazardous substances found on APTIM sites. <br /> • Emergency spill procedures. <br /> • Proper storage and labeling. <br /> 5-2 <br />
