WORK PLAN FOR LIMITED SITE INVESTIGATION <br /> Irerracon <br /> Raising Cane' s Restaurant ( C0530 ) Stockton , California <br /> October 27 , 2020 Terracon Project No . NA207025 <br /> Additional soil samples may be selected for delivery to the analytical laboratory . However , these <br /> soil samples will be placed on hold for potential contingent analyses , if recommended based on <br /> review of the initial soil sample analytical results . <br /> The soil samples will be collected into laboratory- prepared containers . The containers will be <br /> labeled and placed on ice in a cooler. The soil samples and completed chain - of- custody forms <br /> will be transported to a State of California - certified laboratory for analysis . <br /> 5 - Foot Vapor Probe Installation and Soil Gas Sampling <br /> Three ( 3 ) shallow soil borings advanced to the proposed depth of approximately 5 feet bgs will be <br /> converted into temporary vapor probes at a depth of approximately 5 feet bgs using GeoProbe® <br /> tooling , within the footprint of the proposed Raising Cane ' s building , for the collection of soil gas <br /> samples . The proposed vapor probe locations are shown on the attached Exhibit 1 - Site Diagram . <br /> Terracon ' s vapor probes installation and soil gas sampling will be conducted in general <br /> accordance with the California Environmental Protection Agency ( CAL - EPA ) , Department of Toxic <br /> Substances Control ( DTSC ) , Los Angeles and San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board ( LA - and SF - RWQCB ) Advisory — Active Soil Gas Investigation guidance document , dated <br /> July 2015 . Following completion of soil gas sampling activities , the GeoProbe ® tooling and sample <br /> tubing will be removed and the borings will be closed in - place with cement grout and patched at <br /> the surface to match existing conditions . <br /> The soil gas samples will be collected in laboratory- provided , labeled , dedicated 1 - Liter Summa <br /> ( or similar ) stainless steel canisters . The soil gas samples and completed chain -of-custody forms <br /> will be transported to a State of California -certified laboratory for analysis . <br /> 2 . 6 . 2 Boring Abandonment <br /> Terracon will schedule the backfilling inspection with the SJCEHD no later than 48 hours prior to <br /> planned field work activities to ensure the availability of an SJCEHD representative . Additionally , <br /> Terracon will confirm the field work date and inspection time with the inspector 24 hours prior to <br /> field work . <br /> At the completion of sampling activities and in the presence of an SJCEHD representative , the soil <br /> borings will be backfilled using neat cement . A tremie pipe will be lowered to within 3 feet of the <br /> bottom of the boring and the cement slurry will be deposited into the borings via the tremie pipe . <br /> 23 Investigative Derived Waste <br /> Based on the method of investigation proposed for the site ( direct push continuous coring ) , the <br /> generation of significant volume of investigation - derived ( IDW ) is not anticipated .
