R5-2015-0012-073 <br /> HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY <br /> 145 SOUTH SUTTER STREET, <br /> STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Action Levels may be revised by Central Valley Water Board staff should background <br /> concentrations change significantly over the course of remediation. <br /> CONTINGENCY PLAN <br /> The Contingency Plan is to be implemented in the event that concentrations of potential <br /> deleterious remedial byproducts (dissolved metals, total chromium, hexavalent <br /> chromium, bromide, bromate, nitrate, or sulfate) exceed established Action Levels in <br /> Compliance Zone wells. The Contingency Plan is to consist of the following steps: <br /> (1) Report exceedance to the Central Valley Water Board staff immediately. <br /> (2) Collect confirmation samples from both Compliance Zone wells 30 days following <br /> initial exceedance of Action Levels, with analysis to include the remedial <br /> byproducts specified above. <br /> (3) If exceedance remains after confirmation sampling, a batch extraction of a total <br /> of 2,000 gallons (or a total effort of 5 days, whichever occurs first) shall be <br /> performed in Treatment Zone wells then Compliance Zone wells with <br /> exceedances. <br /> (4) Confirmation samples shall be collected from both Compliance Zone wells 30 <br /> days after completion of the batch extraction event. <br /> (5) If exceedances remain in Compliance Zone wells 30 days after completion of <br /> batch extraction, repeat Steps 1 through 4 as needed. <br /> (6) If exceedances remain in Compliance Zone wells after 3 batch extraction events, <br /> batch extraction will cease and alternative measures will be evaluated. <br /> IN-SITU DISCHARGE MONITORING <br /> The Discharger shall record the discharge of BOS-200 that is injected into the <br /> subsurface according to the requirements specified in Table 4. <br /> Table 4: Discharge Mo itoring Requirements <br /> Parameters Units Type of Sample <br /> Total Injected Slurry Volume Gallons' Meter <br /> BOS-200 added Pounds' Measured <br /> Gypsum added Pounds' Measured <br /> Bacteria added Gallons' Measured <br /> ' Parameters are to be reported for the following: (1) per discrete depth interval, <br /> (2) total per boring, and (3) cumulative total for all borings. <br />
