BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
If you have questions about the work you are wanting to do, you can come to
the Building Committee meeting to discuss your application BEFORE you pay for
the permit. Application fee is non-refundable. We are here to help you in any
way we can. The Building Committee meets every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM
(except the week before the Board Meeting).
Pick up permit application from the SJRC office or download from the
SJRiverClub.com website, and complete ALL areas. You will need to include
a "site map" showing where your property lines, septic, leach lines and
structures are located. You will also need to provide information on the
materials to be used.
Pay the appropriate permit fee to the SJRC office. THE BUILDING
COMMITTEE CANNOT ACCEPT YOUR APPLICATION FEE.
Your building permit application will be reviewed by the SJRC Building
Committee, to ensure that it meets all of the SJRC criteria (per SJRC
Building Regulations).
If everything is acceptable, it will be signed by 3 (three) Building Committee
members, and submitted to the office to be included on the agenda at the
next scheduled SJRC Board Meeting.
The SJRC Board will then either approve (or deny) the permit application. If
it is approved, it will be "red stamped" and signed off.
You can pick up a copy of the approved permit from the SJRC office the
following week.
Some projects do not require prior Board approval. See the Building
Regulations and contact the Building Committee for details.
You are responsible for posting your County Building Permit at the
worksite.
Submit your County permit to the committee when issued and your final
County permit to the SJRC when the project is completed.
