Telephone: (209) 235-0558 <br />Program Element: 1600- FOOD PROGRAM Complaint #: C00055199 <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />COMPLAINANT ALLEGES THEY ARE SELLING FOOD THAT IS EXPIRED. THE FOODS ARE DAIRY PRODUCTS, <br />CHICKEN AND PRODUCE. THE PRODUCE IS GROWING MOLD AND THEY DON'T ROTATE THE PRODUCTS WHEN <br />THEY GET A NEW SHIPMENT. THEY PILE THE NEW PRODUCE ON TOP OF THE OLD PRODUCE. THE OLD <br />PRODUCE ON BOTTOM THEN BEGINS TO ROT AND CAUSES A FRUIT FLY PROBLEM. THE WHOLE STORE IS <br />REALLY DIRTY AS WELL. <br />***PLEASE CALL COMPLAINANT WITH FINDINGS. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodbome illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />FOOD ITEM -- LOCATION --TEMP ° F -- COMMENTS <br />No Temperature Data Collected <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />I went to to the facility and spoke to the manager who was not aware of the complaint. <br />I observed the salad wall refrigerator and did not observe products that were past the "best buy" date. <br />Per the manager the procedure for refilling produce is to refill produce bins from the top bin down. <br />Produce is rotated and stocked, a visual check is done by the associate to make sure products are not old and there is no <br />indication of rot. <br />Stocking occurs approximately 4 times per shift for a total of 12 times a day. <br />Produce that is in bins on on the sales floor is rotated every other day (at the most). <br />Large bins are completely turned over and washed and sanitized once every 2 days I observed tomato bin that was washed <br />and sanitized today. <br />Bin appears maintained. <br />I did not observe NEW PRODUCE ON TOP OF THE OLD PRODUCE.
