Mr. Alfonso Arambula, RENS <br />San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department <br />600 East Main Street <br />Stockton, CA 95202 <br />November 19, 2010 <br />Re: Response to Medical Waste Inspection conducted on October 26, 2010 <br />Dear Mr. Arambula <br />Sutter Tracy Community Hospital implemented the corrective actions described below in <br />response to your recommendations as presented in the California Health and Safety Code <br />(HSC): Medical Waste Inspection Form. <br />19) In response to " 19.HSC Section 118275-W red bags, path, chemo shall be labeled <br />properly." All medical waste containers in the Sutter Tracy Community Hospital have <br />been properly visibly labeled with the words `BIOHAZARDOUS WASTE" on three <br />sides and the lid as instructed by section 117635 of California health and Safety Code. <br />This includes both large and small containers use in patient areas. A picture has been <br />attached showing actual container with label. <br />23) In response to "23.HSC Section 118307 -Interim storage labeled." All interim storage <br />areas in the facility have been properly and visibly labeled with a biohazard symbol and <br />word which reads "BIOHAZARD".
