Waste Management <br />e. In the event of spillage during transportation throughout the complex or in the storage area, the <br />Environmental Services technician shall contact the Hazardous Materials and Waste Management <br />Coordinator, Infection Control Nurse, and Director of Environmental Services, or their designates, for <br />direction on cleanup, repackaging, and disposal. <br />f. A report of any spill must be made in writing to the Hazardous Waste Sub -committee chair within 24 <br />hours. <br />g. The containers and/or carts will be lined and cleaned according to department procedures. <br />6. Disposal <br />b. Treatment of Pharmaceutical Waste <br />1) Pharmaceutical waste will be placed into the Department of Transportation (DOT) storage <br />container supplied by the contracted licensed waste hauler. <br />2) For this facility Pharmaceutical waste will be picked up and hauled off by the waste hauler. <br />a) Every 90 days. <br />3) The waste hauler will supply the facility with tracking documents that keep the facility informed <br />of the poundage on a monthly basis. Spill Response <br />a.
