nnovative onstruction olutions 6 . 3 . 1 RESPIRATORY PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT Upon request, ICS shall provide a copy of their respiratory protection program . Cal - OSHA T8 CCR § 5144 requires employers to establish and implement a written respiratory protection program with worksite -specific procedures in any workplace where respiratory protection is required to protect the health of an employee , or when respiratory protection is required by the employer . This HASP contains the critical worksite -specific procedures which stipulate how respiratory protective equipment will be safely and effectively used on the job site . Under no circumstance will ICS provide respiratory protection to or for our clients, regulators, and or subcontractors . The following information and tables 6- 1 and 6 - 2 pertain to respiratory protection : • Unless an end - of- service - life indicator ( ESLI ) is available for the contaminant ( s ) of concern , a change - out schedule has been provided for personnel utilizing air - purifying respirators for protection against particulates, gases and vapors . • Air monitoring protocols have been identified ( see table 6 - 1 ) so that the use concentrations required in the determination of a change - out schedule can be verified . Instrumentation relative - response factors must also be incorporated into the air monitoring protocols . • All personnel who will use respiratory protective equipment must have completed a medical evaluation in accordance with the requirements of 8 CCR § 5144 ( e ) — see section 7 . 0 below . • All ICS personnel who will use respiratory protective equipment have successfully completed a qualitative test within the last year . All others in the ICS exclusion zone must provide the necessary information prior to entering the exclusion zone • Should supplied breathing equipment be used , a discussion of breathing air quality and use procedures shall be provided as an addendum to this HASP plan . 51
