Complaint Investigation Summary Report* 5105 <br />COMPLAINT ID: C00054974 Site Location: ACROSS FROM SAFEWAY DISTRIBUTION CENTER <br />Activity Summary <br />Activity Date <br />06/27/2022 <br />Recorded by <br />Safeway Distribution - Received an update from Jami Brock, Continental Mills, SINGH <br />regarding the Red Lobster Biscuits. She stated the biscuits have been cleaned up <br />and disposed of. She sent a picture. Updated file. <br />I called Erick Argueta for an update. Mr. Argueta stated his driver delivered the <br />load to Safeway Distribution. He stated his driver had nothing to do with the <br />disposal of the product. He looked back at the GPS to see where the driver <br />stopped during his route and the field across from the distribution center was not <br />pinpointed by the GPS. Then Mr. Argueta transferred me to Yuvi. Yuvi stated the <br />truck was sealed until it got to the distribution center and only Safeway personnel <br />is able to unseal the truck. If it was unsealed prior to arriving then Safeway staff <br />would have notified Eagle Trucking, per Yuvi. I was told to contact Safeway <br />Distribution. <br />I called Wes, Global Trans, with an update. <br />06/28/2022 Safeway Distribution - I received a call from Wes, Global Trans. I gave him an <br />update. He stated there is a claim from Safeway for the product not being <br />received. According to Wes, Global Trans did not know what happened to the <br />product until EHD contact the product manufacturer. <br />Discussed complaint with Robert M. <br />07/05/2022 Safeway Distribution (Field) - I called Wes M. with an update. I asked him if the <br />company is willing to clean up the product. He stated the carrier (Eagle Trucking) <br />is liable and should clean it up. He also asked about County resources, where the <br />county cleans up the mess and bills the carrier. I told him I will look into it. <br />I called the complainant with an update. Complainant has not been out to the site <br />for a while. Complainant will contact EHD with an update on the fajitas. <br />SINGH <br />SINGH <br />Received call from complainant. Per complainant, the fajitas are still there, rotting. <br />Reviewed file. <br />07/07/2022 Safeway (field) - Discussed complaint with Robert M. Reviewed parcel information SINGH <br />on Parcel Viewer. <br />07/12/2022 Safeway (field) - Discussed complaint with Robert M. Reviewed file. SINGH <br />07/13/2022 Safeway (field) - I called Tracy Safeway Distribution Center and spoke with Chris SINGH <br />Hoffman, Produce Manager, regarding the complaint. He asked me to email <br />pictures of the boxes. I emailed the photo log to <br />tracy.procuereceiving@albertson.com. <br />The email was forwarded to Richard Randez, Freezer Department Manager, by <br />Mr. Hoffman, asking for assistance. <br />Discussed with Robert M. <br />09/29/2022 Conducted a re-inspection with Sandip Singh. The complaint alleges boxes of <br />frozen fajitas and Red Lobster biscuits were dumped at the site.
