No further <br /> action is required to correct this violation. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The hazardous waste area was observed with oily stains on the floor. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean up the oily stains on the floor. Manage the waste according to Title 22 <br /> California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final disposition of the cleaned up <br /> waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: Four blue steel <br /> drums of used oil in the hazardous storage area were not closed with a cap. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste.
