al <br />San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department Medical Waste Inspection 6-26-06 <br />Pharmaceutical Waste Plan of Correction: <br />Item # 20: HSC Section 118280 MW — Label and Containment <br />1. Nursing contacts pharmacy, 24 hours per day, seven days per week (prior to <br />filling the waste container) for a container replacement. Pharmacy replaces the <br />container within 4 hours, except during the hours of 10 PM and 7 AM. Pharmacy <br />staff is not available to remove waste during these hours. <br />2. During the hours of 10 PM and 7 AM, nursing staff can deliver the full container <br />to the pharmacy and receive a replacement container. <br />3. Pharmacy moves full containers to secure storage awaiting waste disposal. <br />4. Sufficient waste containers are maintained within the organization. <br />5. Training of the nursing staff will be handled by providing story boards of the <br />waste flow process in the dirty utility areas and at the Skilled Nursing training <br />held in October 2006 <br />Item # 19: HSC Section 118275 - MW red bags, path, chemo shall be labeled properly. <br />1. Pharmaceutical waste containers were appropriately labeled with "Incineration <br />Only" on 6-28-06. <br />2.
