Box 11
Lodi, CA 95241
RE: STERILIZED INFECTIOUS WASTE AUTHORIZATION
Dear Ms. Girven,
Pursuant to our telephone conversation on Friday, June 29,
1990, it is imperative that I have a copy of the following writ-
ten authorization for our file.
1. Written authorization from San Joaquin County Solid Waste
Division accepting your sterilized infectious waste including
needles and sharps.
2. Written authorization from San Joaquin County Environmental
Health approving your method of sterilization of all your infec-
tious waste uhich you would deposit into your compactor for
disposal at Harney Lane Landfill.
This request may seem inconvenient to you. However, due to
the fact that on -June 25, 1990, one of our employees was punc-
tured by a hypodermic needle that was deposited in one of your
hampers, and due to the fact that on June 29, 1990, bags of
infectious waste were rejected at the Harney Lane Landfill, this
request is absolutely necessary to protect our employees, as
well as reduce our liability of injuries that may occur while
handling any infectious waste.
saillroory, city disposal inc,
1333 E.
