Biohazard bag is not placed in a rigid container that is leak resistant, tightly lid, clean, in good repair and appropriately <br /> labeled. <br /> - Biohazardous waste shall be bagged and placed in a rigid container which is leak resistant, have tight-fitting cover, and be <br /> kept clean and in good repair. Container shall be labeled with the words"Biohazardous Waste" or"BIOHAZARD" on the lid and <br /> on the sides so as to be visible from any lateral direction. HSC 118280(c)—Freezer in Biology contained biohazardous waste <br /> bag containing waste which was not placed inside a biohazardous waste container.—Submit evidence of corrective action <br /> by 11/4/2016. <br /> Notes: <br /> 1.) Facility generates pharamaceutical waste, biohazardous waste, and biohazardous sharps waste. Biohazardous waste <br /> consists of sharps, bacteria cultures, and animals used for dissection. <br /> 2.) Facility freezes waste in freezers on site. A log tracking freezer temperature was available for review. <br /> 3.) Facility hauls sharps waste back to this facility from temporary events. A log was available for review. <br /> 4.) Facility contracts with Ingenium for hauling of medical waste. According to tracking and treatment records, all waste <br /> is incinerated.
