All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine over 25 ppm (25-50ppm). Provide 2 to 10 ppm. Pool is closed. See above violations. Call for reinspection when ready to be reopened. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid or 2. o ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration OBSERVATIONS: CYA > 100 PPM. Provide < 100 ppm by draining pool or using commercial product that is supposed to reduce CYA concentration. Maintain daily chemistry log and maintenance record. CALCODE DESCRIPTION., Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month N cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request.
