All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#1 Pool Gates MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Gate is not self-closing. Pool is closed. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self -latching devices. <br />Self -latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br />except where otherwise prohibited bylaw. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine lacking. Provide between 2 to 100 ppm. Pool is closed. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 <br />ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cracks and gaps on pool deck. Repair <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4 -foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: CYA>100 ppm. Drain or treat pool with commercial products to reduce CYA to below 100 ppm. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br />#16 Water Clarity <br />OBSERVATIONS: Water murky white. Clear and check if filter is functional. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br />pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck.
