All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #1 Pool Gates MAJOR OBSERVATIONS: Gate is not self-closing. Pool is closed. VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self -latching devices. Self -latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area except where otherwise prohibited bylaw. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well maintained. (CCR 65535) #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine lacking. Provide between 2 to 100 ppm. Pool is closed. VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) #7 Pool Deck OBSERVATIONS: Cracks and gaps on pool deck. Repair VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4 -foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration OBSERVATIONS: CYA>100 ppm. Drain or treat pool with commercial products to reduce CYA to below 100 ppm. VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) #16 Water Clarity OBSERVATIONS: Water murky white. Clear and check if filter is functional. VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck.
