Lower Sacramento Rd., To—di, CA <br />On 5-21-86 an inspection was conducted at the above referenced premise. The inspection <br />identified the following violations of Title 22 California Administrative Code: <br />V< - <br />'l. The inhouse infectious waste containers are not properly identified. Containers <br />shall be provided with the "Infectious Waste" or "Biohazard" with the international <br />symbol written on both sides and the lid, readily visible. - <br />b2. ftt all of the Infectious waste generated is being double bagged prior to disposal. <br />Infectious waste shall be contained in double disposable plastic bags. <br />3.1 No certification of infectious waste bags strength. Provide certification from the <br />company showing that the bags meet Section 66840(f) of the regulations. <br />4. Improper operating procedures being followed forsteamsterilizer/autoclave unit. <br />a. Thermometers not checked for calibration at least annually, provide copy of <br />calibration. <br />5. Improper disposal of the waste water generated from your container wash/sanitizing <br />procedure. Correct by draining to a sewer line. <br />6. 'Infectious waste handling procedure needs to be updated include the following: <br />a. Identify your infectious waste stream., <br />b. Method for decontamination of equipment that is exposed to infectious waste. <br />c. Type and strength of sanitizes used. Also provide material safety data sheets.. <br />d. Eliminate burning of any infectious waste unless your incinerator can meet the <br />regulations. Contact San Joaquin County Air Pollution Control District at <br />462-8526 to obtain requirements to comply. <br />7. . Infectious waste being stored in closet prior to being removed from facility. Closet <br />not labeled infectious waste and infectious waste not being separated from other <br />waste.
