SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA 94080, PH: 415 583.4500
November 4,- 1976
Dear Miss Murphyp
It was a pleasuremeetingwith you last week
to discuss the Hospital's recent evaluation
of the A -Vac disposable suction system. I
wanted to take this opportunity to thank you
and your staff for their time and consideration
of this product -line.
In passing,I wanted to assure you of .Americants
insistance on conforming to the applicable
Public Health directives and procedures with
respect to the disposal of A -Vac suction cannisters.
In my conversations with the County Health Dept.,
I was assured by Dr. Smelsey, that the use of A -Vac
did not violate existing County directives or
laws. In fact - I was copied on the approprIa.te
section (Title 17), which I am enclosing for your
convenience.
I also wanted to once again emphasise A-Vaclstwo
aignificant new features; namely the improved
valve design which eliminates foam and fluid
by-pass,the cause of wall, cieling, or pump shut
down, and secondly, the new pour spout which
provides a completely self contained cannister,
thereby eliminating the transmission of bacterial
contaminants.
Thank you very much for your interest in A -Vac, and
I will be back in touch with you later regarAng
this program. However , should you have any
immediate questions, please don't hesitate to
contact me.
Steve Szatkwski
ccs Mr. Gary Eggert
Dr. S. 0.
