E <br />• Timeframe for Black (RCRA) Rx <br />container usage and storage <br />® 2/13/2020 <br />• Containers <br />— Certain states have specific requirements that limit the amount <br />of time containers can be used on site. <br />California Example: 12 months MAXIMUM on site. It is required to <br />remove RCRA containers from Unit within 9 months of start date <br />and be taken to the Central Accumulation Area (CAA). This ensures <br />compliance of the timeline. <br />• Central Accumulation Area (CAA) <br />— RCRA Containers have time limits that they can be stored in the <br />CAA while waiting transportation for incineration. <br />• Large Quantity Generator: 90 Days <br />• Small Quantity Generator: 180 Days <br />Please Note: Notify your supervisor if you notice containers have exceeded <br />the appropriate timeframe in the CAA. <br />Service Exception Book <br />Schedule Service Days are based on facility size and container <br />usage. Anytime a Stericycle Service Technician cannot complete an <br />assigned area, proper communication needs to occur. <br />• Service Exception Book— Normally found in Environmental <br />Services Office <br />• Stericycle contacts & phone numbers <br />Sharps technician sign in sheet <br />Exception Log <br />• For Stericycle Sharps technicians to record if they are <br />unable to service containers on a scheduled day <br />EVS Change out Log <br />• To be used when EVS personnel changes out Stericycle <br />containers & identify date, location, and container type <br />L <br />
