I asked <br />him to contact CalTrans and see if he can obtain cleanup and responsible party <br />information. Paul called me back and told me he could not get these info. from <br />CalTrans. I asked him to respond and gather information. Paul continued to <br />update me on the status of response. His ER truck will not start, I asked to call the <br />County tow truck. <br />11/01/2021 Prepared and e mailed a notice to abate to: NSO <br />customerservice@transervices.us (Ramon Leon-contact person for J Russell <br />Shaffer Distribution INc). <br />At approximately 2.30pm I called Ramon Leon he acknowledged receipt of the <br />notice to abate. <br />At approximately 3.02pm I received an e mail from Juan Armendarez stating that <br />the responsible party (JR Shaffer Dist.) has hired All Environmental Services to <br />facilitate the spill cleanup on 1-580, they will mark the area for USA Dig and will let <br />me know when they can address the cleanup, and he will keep everyone updated. <br />11/01/2021 Received a phone call from CHP for a single vehicle accident that released <br /> <br />NSO <br />approximately 40 gallons of diesel from the saddle tank of the J Russell Shaffer <br />Distribution Inc tractor truck. While on site met with Esther Herschbach of <br />CALTRANS, Juan Armendarez Caltrans Hazmat Manager and CHP officer <br />Allen-21822. <br />No Storm drain or water ways were impacted, soil was impacted. Dark diesel <br />stains were observed on site. When I talked to Ramon Leon/Malu (Responsible <br />party representative) they had contacted Richard Harbors Environmental Services <br />for clean-up. <br />The impacted soil and area were being covered and secured with cones by <br />Caltrans, Juan J. Armendarez, District Hazmat Manager. Per Armendarez he will <br />indicate the location of the incident to the clean-up company. At the time of <br />incident, no exact time and date was given as to when the clean-up will be <br />completed. <br />11/04/2021 Will be covering cleanup for Paul Nso, EHS.
