Called the reporting party on the spill report and received the phone <br />number the hazardous materials manager Jeff Hankins. Called and spoke with <br />Jeff about the release. It was 1-gallon of diesel that released from a refrigeration <br />trailer but the trailer was moved into a secondary containment pit to contain the <br />release. The release was at a drip of 10 drips every minute. The release on the <br />asphalt was cleaned with absorbent by staff and placed on site but the <br />containment pit. Clean up company en route to clean release in the secondary <br />containment pit. <br />07/07/2022 Texted Jeff Hankins to follow up on clean up. Received photos of clean up. All <br />release was contained in the secondary containment area. Four 55-gallon drums <br />of Non-RCRA was generated for disposal to TSDF Inc. <br />PRESTO <br />PRESTO <br />07/11/2022 San Joaquin County Environmental Health received page and spill report on July PRESTO <br />6, 2022 regarding a 1 gallon diesel release on the asphalt at the BNSF Stockton <br />Intermodal Facility from a refrigeration trailer. No waterways were impacted and is <br />being cleaned up by BNSF. Called and spoke with BNSF dispatch who provided <br />information for John Brainard, BNSF LARS Manager and Jeff Hankins, BNSF <br />Hazardous Materials Manager. Called and spoke with Jeff who stated that the <br />trailer has been moved to their containment pit and it is dripping at a rate of 10 <br />drips per minute. The intermodal facility is located at 6540 S Austin Rd, Stockton. <br />They have hired US Ecology to conduct clean up in the containment pit and they <br />are doing clean up today. Clean up was completed at approximately 10:42pm with <br />absorbent sand. Four 55-gallon drums of waste were generated from the clean up <br />and will be sent as Non-RCRA hazardous waste to Hazmat TSDF Inc. Less than <br />1-gallon was released onto the asphalt and a total of 5-gallons was released <br />overall. <br />Inspection report for clean up was emailed to John Brainard at <br />johntrainard@BNSF.com on July 11,2022 <br />Generated complaint, prop65 and inspection report for clean up.
