SANJOAQUIN <br /> Environmental Health Department <br />COUNTY-- <br />urtotness grows hert, <br />WASTE DISCHARGE/SPILL RESPONSE <br />NOTICE TO ABATE <br />Responsible Party: USF REDDAWAY Date: Nov 10, 2021 <br />RP Mailing Address: 1495 E PESCADERO Record ID#: C00054444 <br />TRACY, CA 95304- Program Element: 2546 <br />Spill Location: 1495 E PESCADERO AVE, TRACY Release/Spill Response (excluding Joint Team) <br />NATURE OF WASTE DISCHARGE/WASTE RELEASE: <br />Approximately half a gallon of Potassium Hydroxide solution released onto trailer floor Cal OES Control #21-6385 <br />OBSERVATIONS: <br />On site, met Jose Ramirez, Supervisor. Per Jose approximately half a gallon of Potassium Hydroxide solution was released <br />from a package fell during transit and flowed onto trailer floor # 530734 at the east side of the docking area 162 FON. White <br />spots were observed on the trailer floor. Jose stated that the impacted areas were neutralized with baking powder and <br />cleanup of spilled material by facility staff was on going and will be completed today. No storm drain, waterway or soil was <br />impacted. <br />Clean up all released material and dispose of it under all appropriate waste manifesting and waste disposal laws and <br />regulations. Make a hazardous waste determination for all waste materials and dispose of them as required. Provide proof <br />of correction and copies of disposal records of any waste generated from cleanup operations. <br />VIOLATIONS: <br />Discharge of any waste, including sewage <br />(CA Health and Safety Code 5411) <br />Discharge of waste or sewage to water or within 150 ft. of waterway <br />(SJC Ordinance Code Sections 9-1125.3, 9-1125.4) <br />I° Improper disposal of a hazardous waste <br />(CA Health and Safety Code 25189.5) <br />Permitting or Maintaining a Nuisance <br />(SJC Ordinance Code Section 8-5100) <br />Other Violation <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS / ORDER: <br />Investigate and abate contamination under the oversite of the appropriate lead agency. <br />IMMEDIATELY. <br />Submit copies of hazardous waste manifests/disposal records to the EHD. <br />Other Correction <br />WASTE DISCHARGE/SPILL RESPONSE NOTICE TO ABATE EHD 25-01 Rev. 9/16/2020 Page 1 of 2 <br />1868 E.
