COMPLAINANT <br />TOOK A DRINK OF HOT CHOCOLATE AND FELT SOMETHING CHUNKY AND SPIT OUT A COCKROACH. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #29 Toxic Substances Properly Identified/Stored/Used <br />OBSERVATIONS: Operator is using household pesticide every month to control all kind of pest ( ants, cockroaches, etc...). <br />Stop this practice immediately. Start using commercial restaurant friendly pesticides to avoid any food potential <br />contamination with chemicals. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All poisonous substances, detergents, bleaches, and cleaning compounds shall be stored separate from food, <br />utensils, packing material and food-contact surfaces. I don't observe any live or dead cockroaches at the front hot drinks station ( at the <br />cups stand and at the hot chocolate machine) or at the back of the house ( back prep area, back frying area, back storage <br />area, back washing area). Operator is doing pest control herself on monthly basis. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
