SAN JOAQUIN Environmental Health Department <br />Time In: 11:40 am <br />Time Out: 12:20 pm <br />COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />Name of Facility: EL POLLO LOCO #3876 Date: 01/27/2023 <br />Address 2442 NAGLEE RD, TRACY 95304 <br />Owner/Operator: Telephone (209) 839-8592 <br />Program Element: 1625- RESTAURANT/BAR 51-100 SEATS Complaint #: C00055550 <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />ON 1/22/2023, BETWEEN 5:30 -6 PM, COMPLAINANT WENT PURCHASED THE $5.99 CHICKEN BURRITO MEAL AT <br />THE DRIVE-THRU. WHEN COMPLAINANT RECEIVED THE FOOD, THE CHIPS SMELLED RANCID AND TASTED LIKE <br />THEY WERE COOKED IN RANCID OIL. COMPLAINANT COULD NOT EAT THE CHIPS. THE BURRITO HAD RICE <br />THAT WAS HARD, AS IF THE FOOD HAD BEEN SITTING UNDER A HEAT LAMP TOO LONG. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodbome illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />FOOD ITEM -- LOCATION -- TEMP ° F --COMMENTS <br />No Temperature Data Collected <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />Complaint inspection. <br />As per person in charge, she is not aware of the complaint. <br />Chips is received pre cut and stored in the dry storage area, bags of chips are pulled to be fried in fryers that their oil changed <br />every week. Rice is cooked on site and then divided to containers, some are stored in the warmer and some containers are <br />held on steam table at the prep line. <br />Rice, in the warmer, has temp at 147F and on the steam table at the prep line, has temp at 164F. Chips, freshly fried, don't <br />have any rancid smell neither the oil in the fryers. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
