02 March 2023 AdvancedGeo
Project No. 23-7124 An Employee-Owned Company
Page 8 of 14
in the borehole after a 30-minute interval. Additional water was added to the boring after
each 30-minute interval as required. The water level was measured from a fixed reference
point at the top of the casing using a Solinst water level meter. The final measurements
were observed by the EHD inspector. Based on the lowest measurement collected, the
percolation rate for the parcel was calculated. The Percolation Test Rate Field Sheet is
provided in Appendix E.
6.5. COMPLETED PERCOLATION TEST FORM
After completion of the test, the EHD inspector reviewed the field data and signed the
required EHD Percolation Test Rate form. Field measurements recorded during the test
are included on the Percolation Test Rate Field Sheet provided in Appendix E.
6.6. PERCOLATION TEST FINDINGS
The shallow percolation test provided a satisfactory percolation test rate. The percolation
rate of 13.30 minutes per inch was calculated from data collected during the four-hour
percolation test; the lowest reading over the four-hour period was used to calculate the
percolation rate. The percolation rate would be 10.00 minutes per inch if the final reading
from the four-hour percolation test was used to calculate the percolation rate (which is the
current procedure for calculating the percolation rate).
The use of the proposed septic system should follow the San Joaquin County On-site
Wastewater Treatment Standards.
7.0. CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF SOIL
Soil chemical properties were supplied by regionally sourced material for the surrounding
area.
7.1. CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF SITE SOILS
The dominant soil composition in the general area of the property was inferred from
information provided by the United States Department of Agriculture's Soil Geographic
Database (USDASGD). The USDASGD soil survey indicates the following two soil types
at the property:
• The northern and southern portion of the property is predominantly composed of
the Veritas fine sandy loam having 0 to 2 percent slopes (#266). The Veritas fine
sandy loam is composed of alluvium derived from mixed rock sources. Soils are
described as moderately well drained, with very low runoff, low capacity to transmit
water and salinity ranging from 0.0 to 4.0 millimhos per centimeter (mmhos/cm).
