Called and it was laboratory. Lab did PRESTO <br />not know who paged me so transferred me to the front desk. Front desk did not <br />know who paged me because she said the hospital is very large and it could be <br />any unit. Asked her what facility this is, she said Palo Alto VA Hospital. She <br />transferred me to a supervisor line. Spoke with supervisor who said that he isn't <br />aware of any spills but if there were any spills, they would call Santa Clara County <br />because that is where they are located. <br />Spoke with front counter and they paged with the wrong number by mistake. <br />Received complaint from counter they intended to send to us. <br />08/08/2022 San Joaquin County Environmental Health (EHD) received a complaint for an <br />unknown amount of hydraulic oil release from a crane. Soil has been impacted but <br />no waterways and has not left the property. Called reporting party and spoke with <br />Ralph Roberts, PG&E Environmental Field Specialist who said that the hydraulic <br />oil released as a result from a hose rupture in the crane. The oil got on the <br />equipment and was contained into a pan but did impact the ground. Approximately <br />15-gallons released onto the ground and approximately 5-gallons was caught in <br />the pan and other absorbent materials. <br />EHD arrived on site and the clean-up is expected to be completed tomorrow <br />morning. The hose replacement part is on the way and clean-up will be conducted <br />after the hose has been replaced and the crane is able to be moved. The waste <br />generated will be non-RCRA hazardous waste. <br />Inspection report emailed to Ralph Roberts, PG&E Environmental Field Specialist, <br />rprb@pge.com <br />Prop 65 generated and gave to lead senior. Updated complaint information. <br />Generated emergency response form. Photo log generated and printed. <br />PRESTO <br />08/09/2022 Called Ralph Roberts to follow up on clean up.. Received photos of the clean up PRESTO <br />drums for waste generated 3x55 and 1 x 20 gal drums of oily solids. Received <br />photos of the clean up. Per Ralph peat soil is the darker soil observed in the <br />photos and peat soil is typical for the area and is not staining. Clean up completed. <br />5105 rpt Page 1 of 2
