Visited the indoor swimming area and used the pool facilities as well as 3 <br />eateries there. Campfire kitchen, Hungry as a Wolf, and a creamery. On 2-5-2023 the 2.5 yr old experienced severe <br />diarrhea and vomiting. 5-yr old experienced the same symptoms next. Then parents became ill with same symptoms. Both <br />children admitted to Kaiser and allegedly diagnosed with clostridium difficile. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />Jeff Carruesco and I went to the facility and spoke with the assistant and director of aquatics. We also spoke with <br />management for the food facilities. We informed them about the nature of the complaint which is as follows: <br />Family of (4) visited resort on February 3 & 4th. The records did not show any abnormalities with <br />circulation and disinfection. Disinfection equipment is operating properly. <br />Creamery: <br />Employees are required to wash their hands: before beginning work; before handling food/equipment/utensils; as often as <br />necessary, during food preparation, to remove soil and contamination ; when switching for working with raw to ready to eat <br />foods; after body parts; after using toilet room; or any time when contamination may occur and before putting gloves on. <br />Hungry as a wolf and Campfire: Currently not not operating fully.
