SAETERN <br />Phoned Dan Gamin of Central Valley Waterboards, 916-464-4724. We've <br />received this spill report regarding an ongoing discharge of potential release of <br />agricultural waste water into the Naglee Burk Canal from Ornellas Dairy. I've <br />called and spoke to Dan Gammin of the Central Valley Waterboards, he stated <br />they received the call through another dairy farm. As of 14:30, the irrigation have <br />been stop however the "tail water" is being dispensed into the canal. Per Dan, it is <br />an ongoing investigation. They are concern about possible manure entering the <br />canal and are unsure if they can make the farm stop irrigation. They have obtained <br />samples and are shipping it to their lab. The results will not come in until sometime <br />next week. <br />Phoned Fish and Wildlife 916-358-1312, spoke to dispatch who stated the person <br />who takes the spill report is on a different line and confirmed that they've received <br />the spill report. <br />Phoned Agricultural Commissioner Office 209-953-6000, spoke to Agustin Diaz, <br />who did not received the Cal OES spill report. Updated him on the situation and <br />forwarded Cal OES spill report# 22-3745 to azdiaz@sjgov.org. Per Agustin, he <br />would like to be kept in the loop for any follow-up. <br />E-mailed Cal OES and description of the situation to J. Curruesco, R. McClellon, <br />N. Subbotnikova, and S. Shih of San Joaquin Environmental Health Department. <br />07/01/2022 Arrived on site at approximately 9am but was unable to make contact with the GARCIA-MEJIA <br />property owners. <br />Agricultural waste water allegedly being discharged into the Naglee Burk Canal <br />was tested by the Central Valley Waterboards and the field results came back with <br />the following: <br />6PPM of total ammonia <br />870 electrical conductivity <br />pH of 7.8 <br />Left the site at approximately 9:10am. Generated complaint, Prop65 and Notice to <br />Abate. Emailed notice to abate to Matthew Ornellas at <br />MATORNELLAS@YAHOO.COM.
