Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #6 Handwashing Facilities Supplied and Accessible <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The women's restroom wall mounted soap dispensers were empty, observed soap pump bottle on sink <br /> counter. Provide soap in wall mounted dispenser prior to operating. <br /> Observed missing handle on men's restroom paper towel dispenser,the other paper towel dispenser was empty. <br /> Repair/replace push handle or provide towel paper in other dispenser. Correct prior to operating. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br /> maintained in good repair. (113953.2) Adequate facilities shall be provided for hand washing,food preparation and the washing of <br /> utensils and equipment. (113953, 113953.1, 114067(0) <br /> #34 Warewashing Facilites Maintained <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Lacking chlorine test strips. Quat test strips were available but bleach will be used as sanitizer. Provide <br /> chlorine test strips prior to operating. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Food facilities that prepare food shall be equipped with warewashing facilities. Testing equipment and <br /> materials shall be provided to measure the applicable sanitization method. Provide <br /> light shields or shatterproof light bulbs at ceiling fan prior to operating. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Exhaust hoods shall be provided to remove toxic gases,heat,grease, vapors and smoke and be approved by <br /> the local building department. Canopy-type hoods shall extend 6"beyond all cooking equipment.All areas shall have sufficient ventilation <br /> to facilitate proper food storage. Toilet rooms shall be vented to the outside air by a screened openable window,an air shaft, or a <br /> light-switch activated exhaust fan,consistent with local building codes.
