No waterways were impacted by the release. The
release has been stopped by the diesel tank being plugged. Spoke with business
owner and truck driver, Dillon Dixson of Fly Car Transportation LLC who stated he
got his truck washed at Ron's Truck Wash in Lathrop where they power washed
his truck and engine. Per Dillon, after he left the truck wash and was on the
freeway he noticed something come off of his truck and fly onto the road. A driver
informed him that his tank was leaking and he exited the next exit, pulled over and
called the fire department. San Joaquin County Environmental Health (EHD)
informed Dillon that the absorbent and diesel release must be appropriately
disposed of. Provided him a brochure for the San Joaquin County Household
Hazardous Waste Facility to bring the used absorbent to.
Notice to abate was emailed to Dillon Dixson, Owner of Fly Car Transportation
LLC on Friday, May 13, 2022.
05/16/2022 Stopped by facility to verify clean up. Diesel staining is still observed in the soil.
Generated prop 65 and placed in mail bin. Called Dillon Dixson to inform him the
clean up is not complete and the diesel staining is further down into the soil that
was anticipated from last week. Emailed him a list of clean up contractors he can
contact to do the soil excavation. Did photo log and emergency response record.
PRESTO
06/06/2022 Received voicemail from Logan Camp with Canal Insurance who has questions on PRESTO
the spill. Called Logan back and he was uncertain if EHD was cleaning or if it has
already been cleaned. He also does not know where the location is. Explained to
Logan that we are not doing the clean-ups but I did email Dillon a list of clean up
contractors. Emailed Logan a Google maps snippet highlighting the area.
Received a phone call from Angel White with Custard Insurance Adjusters who
stated she would be the point of contact for the environmental clean up. She was
asking for the location of the spill. Forwarded her the email I sent to Logan with the
location. She will send a clean up company to assess the spill.
Received Date: 5/13/2022 Complaint Received Via: PHONE
Assigned Date: 5/13/2022
5105 rpt Page 1 of 3
