SAN ,10AQUIN cOU NT Y <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Time In: 10:45 am <br />Time Out: 11:55 am <br />COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />Name of Facility: GREAT WOLF LODGE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Date: 02/23/2023 <br />Address: 2500 DANIELS ST, MANTECA 95337 <br />Owner/Operator: BLACKSTONE CENTER BRIDGE Telephone: (209) 239-9653 <br />Program Element: 3600- RECREATIONAL HEALTH PROGRAM Complaint #: C00055610 <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />COMPLAINANT STATES THEY ARRIVED ON WEDNESDAY AND LEFT FRIDAY 02/17. STRONG, OVERPOWERING <br />SMELL OF BLEACH. COMPLAINANT STATES ALL KIDS THAT SWAM HAVE SKIN RASHES. COMPLAINANT STATE <br />HE WAS THE ONLY ADULT THAT SWAM AND HE ALSO HAS A SKIN RASH. COMPLAINANT ALSO STATES THAT HIS <br />SON APPEARS TO HAVE BLEACH BURNS ON HIS SKIN AND WAS GOING TO GO TO THE E.R. COMPLAINANT <br />ALSO STATES HAD SORE THROAT AND EAR WAS HURTING THE FIRST FEW DAYS. SYMPTOMS WITHIN 24 <br />HOURS. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />I went to the facility and spoke with personnel in charge of aquatics. I informed them of the reason for my visit/inspection. <br />Complaint as follow: <br />COMPLAINANT STATES THEY ARRIVED ON WEDNESDAY AND LEFT FRIDAY 02/17. STRONG, OVERPOWERING <br />SMELL OF BLEACH. COMPLAINANT STATES ALL KIDS THAT SWAM HAVE SKIN RASHES. COMPLAINANT STATE HE <br />WAS THE ONLY ADULT THAT SWAM AND HE ALSO HAS A SKIN RASH. COMPLAINANT ALSO STATES THAT HIS SON <br />APPEARS TO HAVE BLEACH BURNS ON HIS SKIN AND WAS GOING TO GO TO THE E.R. COMPLAINANT ALSO <br />STATES HAD SORE THROAT AND EAR WAS HURTING THE FIRST FEW DAYS. SYMPTOMS WITHIN 24 HOURS. <br />They informed that there had not been any other calls regarding this matter. The only two incidents occured on 2-16-23. Vomit <br />in the Wave pool at 1:15 pm and vomit in the Activity pool at 7:40 pm. The Wave pool was closed cleaned and sanitized for 52 <br />minutes and reopen with free chlorine at 3 ppm. The Activity pool was closed and sanitized and open until the next day at 9 <br />am. The water park opens at 9 am and closes at 8:30 pm. <br />The records onsite indicate that the chemicals have been maintained as required. <br />Per personnel in charge, the combined chlorine is maintained at 0 ppm to .4 ppm. Air in the enclosed water park turns every <br />23 minutes when it is open and about once per hour when it is closed. Manual testing conducted daily at 7 am, 11 am, 3 pm <br />and 7 pm.
