Joseph Leon Lane
Stockton CA 95215
Subject: Complaint Number C00055654.
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received a complaint alleging that
an auto repair business is operating and performing the following services: painting and body
work, and washing fluid into the storm drain, at 4927 E. Joseph Leon Lane, Stockton CA 95215.
Auto repair may generate hazardous waste, including but not limited to; used oil, used oil filters,
transmission fluid, waste paint and solvents. None of this type of waste is allowed to be
disposed of into the storm drain. Hazardous waste must be properly disposed of, utilizing a
registered hazardous waste transporter.
Small amounts of hazardous waste can be transported to the San Joaquin County Household
Hazardous Waste facility at 7850 R.A. Bridgeford Street, Stockton, CA 95206. The facility has
limited hours of operation and more information can be found here:
https://www.sigov.orgidepartment/pwk/solid-wasteisan-loaquin-county-solid-waste-facilitiesisan-
joaquin-county-household-hazardous-waste-facility . Brochure attached.
Hazardous waste transporters can be found here: https://hwts.dtsc.ca.gov/transportersi.
A list of qualified cleanup companies that work in this area is included in with this letter.
An auto repair business must also be properly licensed. If this type of operation is occurring
please ensure the proper licensing is held.
Subsequent complaints may require a site visit by an Environmental Health inspector.
Verified complaints may be billed to the property occupant or owner at the current
Environmental Health Department rate of $156 per hour.
Please contact me at (209) 468-3454 or mhenry@sjgov.org with any questions,
Michelle Henry, REHS
Environmental Health Department
1868 E.
