COMPLAINANT STATES THAT ON 02/18/2022 HER SON WENT SWIMMING AND APPROXIMATELY <br /> 12 HOURS AFTER SWIMMING BECAME ILL AND IS STILL ILL. COMPLAINANT STATES HER CHILD SYMPTOMS ARE <br /> VOMITING AND DIARRHEA. <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040,& <br /> 116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is .2 ppm. Adjust free chlorine to 2 ppm to 10 ppm. Correct today. Closed pool and <br /> maintain closed until this concentration is maintained and the pool is inspected by this department. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid,2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine.(CCR 65529) <br /> #15 Operation Records <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The chemical testing log is not available. The chemicals have to be tested daily and the results have to <br /> be written on a log. Correct today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br /> Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br /> necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br /> for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request.(CCR 65523) <br /> OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br /> COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br /> I went to the facility and spoke to the manager regarding the complaint. <br /> Complaint as follows: <br /> COMPLAINANT STATES THAT SHE AND HER 8 YEAR OLD SON STAYED AT THE LOCATION FROM 02/17/23-02/20/23. <br /> COMPLAINANT STATES THAT ON 02/18/2022 HER SON WENT SWIMMING AND APPROXIMATELY 12 HOURS AFTER <br /> SWIMMING BECAME ILLAND IS STILL ILL.
