COMPLAINANT STATES THAT ON 02/18/2022 HER SON WENT SWIMMING AND APPROXIMATELY <br />12 HOURS AFTER SWIMMING BECAME ILL AND IS STILL ILL. COMPLAINANT STATES HER CHILD SYMPTOMS ARE <br />VOMITING AND DIARRHEA. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is .2 ppm. Adjust free chlorine to 2 ppm to 10 ppm. Correct today. Closed pool and <br />maintain closed until this concentration is maintained and the pool is inspected by this department. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (OCR 65529) <br />#15 Operation Records <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chemical testing log is not available. The chemicals have to be tested daily and the results have to <br />be written on a log. Correct today. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br />Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br />necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br />for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request. (OCR 65523) <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />I went to the facility and spoke to the manager regarding the complaint. <br />Complaint as follows: <br />COMPLAINANT STATES THAT SHE AND HER 8 YEAR OLD SON STAYED AT THE LOCATION FROM 02/17/23-02/20/23. <br />COMPLAINANT STATES THAT ON 02/18/2022 HER SON WENT SWIMMING AND APPROXIMATELY 12 HOURS AFTER <br />SWIMMING BECAME ILL AND IS STILL ILL.
