Union
Pacific reported a release of 3 gallons of printer ink. Called Marcus and was
informed that Patriot was on site cleaning up the release. Called Mike and
informed him that I was going to visit the site. I asked Mike to send me the
responsible party information when he received it. Attempted to contact Patriot and
could not reach anyone. Received spill report CalOES spill report 22-2212 for the
release. Reviewed document.
Arrived on site at approximately 6:48 PM. Ink had been released onto soil,
concrete, and the trailer floor. Confirmed final cleanup of the soil and concrete.
Per Lupe, the waste was going to be put into 55 gallon drums and taken to the
Stockton location at 833 E Eighth St. Lupe then informed me that there were still
several hours of cleaning left as the trailer had to be unloaded to find the broken
containers. I asked Lupe to send me photos of the final cleanup. First part of call
ended at 7:18 PM.
7:36 PM-7:48 PM: Called Mike and discussed the waste disposal. He informed
me that he made the Stockton yard a place to centrally accumulate waste for
different spills.
8:12 PM-8:30 PM: Received a page from SJ General informing me of an update
from UP. I also received an update of the spill report. The spill was revised to 25
gallons. One 55 gallon drum was found to have been damaged.
10:00-10:06 PM: Received photos of the final cleanup from Lupe. Cleanup was
deemed adequate. Two 55 gallon drums of waste had been generated.
04/19/2022 Discussed complaint with Elena Manzo, lead senior. ALANIZ
04/19/2022 Sent email to Michael Algots <nijalgots@up.com> asking for a bill of lading for the ALANIZ
transport of the waste.
5105.rpt
