Mr. Joseph Lipka <br />Forward Landfill <br />May 21, 2018 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />After sampling, the cassette intakes were plugged, labeled with pertinent sampling information, <br />and shipped to ATEML for analysis. A chain of custody record, detailing the sample <br />identifications, date and time collected, analysis requested, and other pertinent information <br />accompanied the samples to the laboratory. ATEML analyzed the samples for asbestos fibers <br />using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) described in the National Institute for <br />Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) method 7402 modified. <br />FIELD OBSERVATIONS <br />Sample collection was completed from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on April 20, 2018. Active <br />disposal activities occurred while monitoring was conducted. Meteorological data from <br />Stockton Airport which is located approximately 2 miles west-northwest of the Forward Landfill <br />was reviewed for April 20, 2018. The mean temperature on this date was 63 ºFahrenheit (ºF) <br />with a high of 80 ºF and a low of 47 ºF. The average wind speed for the day was 8 miles per <br />hour (mph) out of the west northwest with gusts up to 25 mph. The average relative humidity <br />was 63 percent.
