MAD TATTER TATTOOS - TATTOO BREAK DOWN PROCEDURE 1. Wash/Sanitize hands. 2. Put on 2 gloves. 3. Designate one glove as clean & one glove as dirty & touch things accordingly. 4. Remove cellophane from wash bottle using dirty hand paying close attention to not let the contaminated cellophane touch the nozzle. Place cellophane on contaminated work surface. Put bottle on shelf with clean hand. 5. Disconnect clip cord from machine using dirty glove. Feed cord out of the sleeve. Grab cord with clean hand and place cord on hook. Place sleeve on contaminated work area. 6. Grab tube with dirty hand and reach clean inside machine bag to hold machine. Use dirty hand to fold over bag onto tube. Grab covered tube with dirty hand. Using clean hand, remove rubber bands, lift needle loop off armature bar and also remove nipple/grommet. Loosen wing nut, carefully pull tube/needle free from machine. 7. Using clean hand, place machine on designated area away from clean or contaminated areas. 8. As you place tube onto the dental bib use pinky and ring finger to grab needle loop. Dispose of needle into Sharps container. -At this point consider both gloves dirty. - 9. Place paper towels into wash cup to soak up the fluid. 10. Grab two comers of cellophane and begin to fold and bundle all disposable items within the cellophane wrap. After bundle is completely wrapped, hold within hand and remove latex glove to encase bundle. Repeat with second glove. Throw away encased contaminated bundle. 11. Put on another pair of gloves. 12. Lay out multiple paper towels, soak with Madacide FD or Opti-Cide3. 14. Pick up machine with "dirty" glove. Use paper towels to wipe down machines. Place machines on a clean surface and wipe down the surface the machines were sitting on prior to being disinfected. Throw away paper towel. 15. With the remaining paper towels wipe down surfaces starting with the cleanest and continuing to the dirtiest. (This includes work table/mayo tray, armrests, benches, clip cord, floor, etc... ). Throw away paper towels. 16. Remove gloves and dispose. 17. Wash hands.
