All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #6 Handwashing Facilities Supplied and Accessible <br />OBSERVATIONS: The paper towel dispenser at the restroom hand sink was empty. Provide paper towels in dispenser <br />today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br />maintained in good repair. (113953.2) Adequate facilities shall be provided for hand washing, food preparation and the washing of <br />utensils and equipment. (113953, 113953.1, 114067(f)) <br /> #29 Toxic Substances Properly Identified/Stored/Used <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed Raid pesticide spray in restroom. Remove today and use only approved pest control in the <br />facility. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All poisonous substances, detergents, bleaches, and cleaning compounds shall be stored separate from food, <br />utensils, packing material and food-contact surfaces. (114254, 114254.1, 114254.2) <br /> #30 Food Storage/Display Properly Labeled <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed several boxes and bottles of alcohol stored on shelf in the restroom. Discontinue practice do <br />not store food/beverage products for sale in restroom, remove alcohol from restroom and store in approved areas. Correct <br />today and send pictures of correction to dafonskaia@sjgov.org within 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Food shall be stored in approved containers and labeled as to contents. Food shall be stored at least 6" <br />above the floor on approved shelving. (114047, 114049, 114051, 114053, 114055, 114067(h), 114069 (b)) <br /> #39 Thermometers Provided/Accurate/Easily Visible <br />OBSERVATIONS: The 1 dr QBD display cooler and the walk-in were lacking thermometers. Provide accurate <br />thermometers in these coolers within 1 week and email evidence of correction to dafonskaia@sjgov.org <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An accurate easily readable metal probe thermometer suitable for measuring temperature of food shall be <br />available to the food handler. A thermometer +/- 2 #F shall be provided for each hot and cold holding unit of potentially hazardous foods <br />and high temperature warewashing machines.
