Reveled Mike's request to add to Strike Team. Reviewed original WONG
CS-2300561 from CDD which also advised Sheriff accompanyment. Bill of SO
placed it on this week CST during Code Enforcement triage meeting.
04/20/2023 Met with the Community Service Team (CST). Sheriffs deputies, Code SUSZYCKI
Enforcement, Ms. Salinas from Unit II, and Ms. Singh from Solid Waste were
present.
When I arrived on site, I allowed the deputies to make initial contact. I spoke with
the property owner Terrill Ingwersen and his son, who temporarily lives on the
property, David Ingwersen about the complaint. They both stated that they are not
actively processing metal for recycling at the property, but David does fabricate
metal creations in the front yard. Terrill confirmed that someone is living in the
backyard. I asked for permission to come onto the property, but Terrill declined.
I observed two possibly one-gallon containers (Sunny Delight jugs) filled with what
appeared to be used oil. David confirmed the contents. I asked Terrill how they
dispose of their used oil. He stated that they bring it to an Auto Zone that is close
by. I then asked Terrill about the alleged dumping of oil into the street. He stated
that they did dump five-gallon bucks that were filled with rain water, but not oil. I
told Terrill that he would need to ensure that the used oil I observed is disposed of
properly.
I also observed the blue tarp mentioned in the complaint, but no liquids were seen
coming from it. In addition, I saw several tanks (propane ect.). Terrill said they are
empty and will be disposed of properly.
There were multiple inoperable vehicles along the street in front of the property,
but I did not observed any fluids coming from them. The Sheriffs deputies told
Terrill that if they are not removed, they will have them towed. No Notices of
Violation were issued for hazardous waste.
04/25/2023 Abated the complaint as no hazardous waste violations were observed. SUSZYCKI
5105.rpt Page 1 of 1
