ALANIZ <br />Researched hazardous waste determination requirements. <br />Reviewed policy on contractors transporting hazardous waste. <br />09/30/2020 9:42 a.m.: Received spill report 20-5467. 20 gallons of red dye diesel was <br />reported to be released by a ruptured fuel hose on a fueling truck. The spill was <br />reported by BNSF. Called Jose Granados, BNSF employee, 817-593-6823, and <br />got connected with a phone tree. Called Cory Clapp, Velocity Rail Solutions <br />employee, 720-417-3873. <br />ALANIZ <br />Cory said that the incident happened at 1:00 a.m. The spill was cleaned up at the <br />time of release by Velocity Rails. One bag of absorbent was used which <br />generated 1/4 of a 55 gallon drum of waste. The waste was then transported to <br />the BNSF Mariposa Yard where it is going to be picked up for disposal by an <br />outside vendor. No waterways or storm drains were impacted by the spill. <br />Cory was not sure how the waste was going to be disposed of. He was also not <br />sure how the drum was labeled. I asked Cory to send me a photo of the cleanup <br />and explained to him hazardous waste regulations. <br />Typed up a notice to abate and emailed it to him at <cory.clapp@velocityrail.com>. <br />Filled out complaint information. The spill was occurred at 1000 Diamond St, APN <br />15532021. <br />Completed prop 65 <br />Called Cory and confirmed that he received the notice to abate. <br />10/08/2020 Received an undeliverable prop 65 for the responsible party. ALANIZ <br />Called Cory Clapp, Velocity Rail Solutions employee, 720-417-3873, and he said <br />the office was closed due to Covid-19. <br />Called his supervisor, Fernando Arrendando, 303-746-3589, and he directed me <br />to email it to him at <fernando.arredondo@velocityrail.com> and Brian Jones at <br /><brian.jones@velocityrailcom>. <br />Emailed the prop 65 and confirmed that Fernando received it. <br />Sent the email addresses to accounting for future invoices. <br />Shredded undeliverable receipt. <br />10/26/2020 Received an email from Cory Clapp cory.clapp@velocityrail.com on 10/26/2020 <br />containing the final disposal record.
