Union Pacific made a spill report that one gallon of ALANIZ <br />an unknown chemical was released from a trailer. <br />Called Michael Algots, Union Pacific Hazmat, 916-580-9999. The cleanup <br />contractor going to the site was American Integration Services. They were going <br />to go empty the rail car. The shipping papers indicated the rail car was a mixed <br />freight. <br />The responsible party for this spill is FedEx. <br />Called Michael for an update. He said that a car sealer wax was released. He <br />sent me photos of the release and product name. The name of the chemical was <br />Tunnel Super Dry 55 GAL. <br />Looked up the SDS and found it to be non-hazardous. Discussed with Elena <br />Manzo. <br />Received the responsible party information from Michael: <br />Joe Hayes, 501-860-7904, 501-317-8679, <joe.hayes@fedex.com>. <br />01/11/2021 Received no new information for this complaint. <br />Started to gather the documents together to abate it. Printed the safety sheet and <br />updated the complaint information with the material that had spilled. <br />ALANIZ <br />01/22/2021 Completed photo log with photos received from Mike Algots, Union Pacific ALANIZ <br />Hazmat, on 11/17/2020. <br />Printed narratives and abated the complaint. Gave to lead senior for review. <br />01/28/2021 Called Mike Algots and sent him an email asking if the waste was cleaned up and <br />properly disposed of. His email is <mjalgots@up.com> and his phone number is <br />ALANIZ <br />916-580-9999. <br />02/02/2021 Received an email from Michael Algots <mjalgots@up.com> saying: ALANIZ <br />We have been working through the responsibility of this waste with Fedex. It looks <br />like UPRR is going to take that responsibility.
