GARCIA-MEJIA <br />He also CC'd SIRS - Admin - QA <STRS-QA@corp.ds.fedex.com>, Polly Keo <br /><polly.keo@fedex.com>, Terence Sessoms <tsessoms@fedex.com> and STRS - <br />Manager - Senior <STRS-SeniorManagers@corp.ds.fedex.com>. <br />Ruben asked what he could help me with. I replied with the following: <br />"Hello Ruben, <br />I'm reaching out because in order for me to close out the complaint (C00055522) I <br />need a copy of the final disposal record for the waste generated during this <br />incident. Patriot Environmental was on site, at 6444 Arch Rd., Stockton CA on <br />1/13/23 and performed the clean-up of approximately 2 quarts of diesel. The <br />waste was taken by Patriot and then brought back on 1/16/23 and left on site. <br />FedEx was responsible for disposing of that waste and providing the EHD with the <br />disposal record. <br />Until I receive that and abate all time is chargeable at our hourly rate of $156. " <br />Received a call from Ruben (209-470-0862) regarding my email. Per Ruben the <br />waste was picked up the drum was labeled as oily debris and there were 2 <br />containers in the drum that looked like they contained oil so the waste was hauled <br />off as oily debris. Per Ruben the company that hauled the waste has not disposed <br />of the waste and wants clarification as to what the contents are before disposing of <br />them. He wanted to know why I said that it was diesel. I informed Ruben that the <br />call originally came in as being 2 quarts of coolant but that once Patriot <br />Environmental conducted the clean up they informed the facility that it was diesel <br />and not coolant. I was informed by ERTS of the change in released material. I <br />suggested to Ruben that he contact Patriot Environmental for further clarification. I <br />also let him know to email me the manifest that he has and that once the waste <br />reaches its final destination and he receives the manifest with the final signature to <br />please provide the END with a copy so the complaint can be abated. <br />Ruben stated that he is in charge of the hazardous materials and waste for this <br />facility. <br />04/21/2023 Received an email from Ruben with a manifest attached to it. I then received a <br />reply from Henry Arreola <henry.arreola@veolia.com> letting me know that that <br />previous manifest was the incorrect on and he attached the correct manifest which <br />did include 'diesel, absorbent'. I printed out the manifest and added it to the file. <br />Manifest # 001797847VES and the facility EPA ID number is CAR000330365. <br />I received a call from Ruben (209-470-0862) double checking that I received the <br />email from him and Henry. I confirmed with him that I did and I let him know that I <br />would be abating the complaint. I also let Ruben know that this facility does not <br />currently have any permits with the END and will need to be added into our <br />inventory since they are generating hazardous waste. <br />Printed out all necessary forms and abated the complaint. <br />GARCIA-MEJIA <br />5105 rpt <br />Page 3 of 3
