All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Safety sign were not posted in pool enclosure. Provide and post no diving, emergency number, name <br />and address of pool facility, max pool capacity, pool hours, no lifeguard, no diving, and CPR signs. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed damaged coping near ladder that had a rough uneven surface. Repair and provide smooth <br />surface within 2 weeks. <br />Observed cracks/gaps between coping and pool deck at deep end. Repair/seal within 2 weeks. <br />Observed raised pool deck area near deep end. Provide pool deck free of tripping hazards within 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool light was not working. Post no swimming after dark until pool light is repaired. Provide working <br />pool light and test GFCI or if pool light will be disconnected from electricity provide letter from certified electrician verifying <br />that pool light was disconnected and keep no swimming after dark sign posted. Correct within 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark.
