All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine level in the spa is too low (2.2ppm). Maintain the spa water at 3.0-10.0 ppm chlorine <br />immediately or face closure. <br />Chlorine was added by pool tech / re-check 12.0ppm <br />Water was added by pool tech / re0check 9.6ppm <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH of the spa is less that 7.0. Take immediate action to adjust the pH of the spa to 7.2 to 7.8 <br />Corrected / re-checked 7.2 <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: The combined chlorine level of the spa is 0.8ppm. Take action to reduce the combined chlorine level to <br />0.4 ppm or below. Correct by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br />of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes, lungs, or <br />skin. (CCR 65531) <br /> #18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa plaster is pitted. Have the spa re-plastered by 1 year. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency.
