COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />11:05 am <br />10:51 am <br />Time Out: <br />Time In: <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Name of Facility: CARLS JR Date: 05/02/2023 <br />Address: 2380 W GRANT LINE RD, TRACY 95376 <br />Owner/Operator: DALJIT HUNDAL Telephone: (209) 835-5494 <br />Program Element: 1600 - FOOD PROGRAM Complaint #: CO0055801 <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />CO0055801 states: COMPLAINANT STATES SHE AND HER FAMILY WENT TO EAT AT THE FACILITY ON 04/23/2023, <br />WHILE THERE COMPLAINANT STATES THAT WHEN SHE ASKED TO USE THE RESTROOM SHE WAS INFORMED <br />THAT THERE WERE NO BATHROOMS. COMPLAINANT STATES WHEN SHE ASKED THE EMPLOYEES HOW THEY <br />USE THE RESTROOMS SHE WAS ALLEGEDLY TOLD THAT NON OF THE EMPLOYEES USE THE RESTROOMS IN <br />THE FACILITY. COMPLAINANT ALSO STATES THAT THE MANAGER ALLEGEDLY TOLD HER THAT THEY DO NOT <br />NEED TO HAVE A BATHROOM FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #43 Toilet Facilites Clean/ Supplied/ Maintained <br />OBSERVATIONS: One of the toilet handles in the women's restroom sticks a bit (stays in the flush position). Repair the <br />toilet handle to proper function. Correct ASAP. <br />The urinal in the men's restroom is out of order (covered in a garbage bag). Repair the urinal to proper function. Correct <br />ASAP. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Toilet facilities shall be maintained clean, sanitary and in good repair. Toilet rooms shall be separated by a <br />well-fitting self-closing door. Toilet tissue shall be provided in a permanently installed dispenser at each toilet. The number of toilet <br />facilities shall be in accordance with local building and plumbing ordinances. Toilet facilities shall be provided for patrons: in <br />establishments with more than 20,000 sq ft. establishments offering on-site liquor consumption. (114250, 114250.1, 114276) <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />women's restroom hand sink -- 100.00º F men's restroom hand sink -- 100.00º F <br />FOOD ITEM -- LOCATION -- TEMP º F -- COMMENTS <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />General Manager is on site and is aware of the complaint. Per GM, the women's restroom toilets have been having an issue <br />flushing properly (the toilet handles get stuck in the flush position on occasion). The women's restroom is closed to customers <br />at the time of the inspection (sign posted at door). The employees use the women's restroom because they are aware of how <br />to flush the toilets properly and not make a mess. The men's restroom is open to all customers. <br />At the time of the inspection, the toilet rooms are clean, properly supplied and operable. One of the toilet handles in the <br />women's restroom sticks a bit, but flushes. The hand sinks in the toilet rooms are properly supplied.
