Approximately three ALANIZ <br />gallons of hydraulic oil was released from a Waste Management (WM) Truck. <br />Called Henry Fontes, WM employee who reported the spill, 209-313-4817. He <br />said that a hydraulic line had broken while picking up trash. The truck went south <br />on Scarborough Dr, left on Tawny Port Dr, right on Colombard Cir, and right on <br />Carignane Ct (where it stopped). The release was cleaned up through absorbent <br />and taken back to the main yard at 1333 E Turner Rd, Lodi. Three bags of <br />absorbent were used and approximately 1/4 of a 55 gallon drum was filled. <br />Discussed with Elena Manzo. Filled out complaint information and generated a <br />prop 65. Looked up property owner information. <br />Called Lodi Public Works, 209-333-6706, and let them know what happened. <br />Confirmed correct mailing address. <br />11/17/2020 Discussed spill details with J. Alaniz (EHD) and M. Nissim (Program coordinator) MANZO <br />11/17/2020 Visited the site, due to the recent rain it was difficult to observe any staining. No <br />sheen was noted on the streets where the spill was reported to have occurred. <br />Some white discoloration was noted where dry absorbent appeared to have been <br />applied during clean up. Clean up is adequate. Provided an update to J. Alaniz <br />along with pictures. <br />MANZO <br />11/18/2020 Discussed spill response with M. Nissim (program coordinator), per this discussion MANZO <br />generated an OIR for the spill clean up site visit which occurred on 11/18/2020, in <br />the inspection report requested to make a hazardous waste determination and <br />provide disposal records to the EHD by 12/18/2020. Sent the OIR to <br />hfontes@wm.com and John Alaniz (jalaniz1@sjgov.org). <br />Downloaded inspection pictures, created picture file emailed to John Alaniz. <br />Received an email confirmation of delivery and read receipt from <br />hfontes@wm.com <br />11/19/2020 Called Mr. Fontes, 209-313-4814, the number was disconnected, called Sam <br />(District Waste Management Manager) 530-356-3756, Sam indicated that Henry <br />Fontes phone number is 209-313-4814 and confirmed that they received the <br />official inspection report (01R) and are working on getting the generated waste <br />shipped out. <br />MANZO <br />5105.rpt <br />Page 1 of 2
