Leprino Foods Company – Tracy, CA
Safety Training

Process Safety Management (PSM)

Leprino Foods Company – Tracy, CA

Anhydrous Ammonia is used in our facility as a refrigerant. Approximately, about 100,000 lbs of
Anhydrous Ammonia is maintained in the plant. OSHA requires facilities that maintain above
10,000 lbs of Anhydrous Ammonia to maintain a Process Safety Management (PSM) program.
The PSM program requires that fourteen various elements of the PSM program be maintained.
Chlorine is used in our facility in various ways. In concentration as a component of our water
supply system, and as a solution in a number of chemicals used in the facility, Safety Data Sheet
will indicate chemicals with chlorine.
Only trained Hazmat Team personnel will handle an emergency relating to Anhydrous Ammonia
or Chlorine. If there is a spill/release, find your supervisor/foreperson and let them know.
Follow their directions in regards to evacuation or other course of action. DO NOT TRY TO
HANDLE THE EMERGENCY YOURSELF.
All information regarding Anhydrous Ammonia and Chlorine can be found by calling the 3E
Company at 1 (800) 451-8346 – see the yellow sticker on all outbound phones or go online via
the employee kiosk at https://www.3eonline.com/EeeOnlinePortal/DesktopDefault.aspx under
3E > SDS.

-------{☺}-------
I have read the above Process Safety Management (PSM) information above and I have been
allowed to asked questions for clarification and understanding.

Print Name: ___________________________________

Signature: ____________________________________

Date: ______________________
